Special-education counseling is education-based counseling. Counseling evaluations can help determine if there is an educational need for counseling support and if these services are necessary to derive benefit from special education services.
Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA)
Every behavior has a function. Gathering data regarding the antecedent, specific behavior, and consequences can help identify a pattern and why the behavior might be occurring. FBA’s are crucial for developing appropriate behavior intervention plans and teaching the student an appropriate replacement behavior.
